Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

I haven't read a decent book in a while (except for reference books for academic purposes) and I can't recall the last time I sat down and relaxed with a book in hand. 

Before going home yesterday, I decided to drop by the Moonleaf Tea Shop in Maginhawa to buy my favorite milk tea concoction, Wintermelon Milk Tea with pearls. At 85php, you are sure to get your money's worth. Anyway, since I was in no hurry to go home yet since it's a bit early and I can't stand walking under the intense heat of the sun, i sat down in one of the tables outside the tea shop and took out my current reading: Meg Cabot's Pants on Fire.

Summary of the book

Katie Ellison, the book's heroine, is caught in a web of her own lies. She knows it's not right to make out with the drama club hottie behind her football player boyfriend's back but since she can't keep her tongue off both guys, she decides to keep the two guys for herself, even if it means making more complicated lies to keep herself off trouble. She says she likes Quahogs, the name of the state team everyone worships and the local clam the town is known for. But the truth is, she doesn't like neither the rubbery-taste bivalve clams that everyone loves, nor the egotistic football team that seems to get away with everything. However, she's running  for the Quahog Princess Title (because she was after the prize money to pay for the Leica camera she's always wanted), she can't admit these things to anybody else. Everything sails smoothly until her former bestfriend, Tommy Sullivan, comes back to town. 

Pottermore.com Disappointment

Look! I'm a Hufflepuff!

After finishing Book 1 in Pottermore.com last night, I was actually quite disappointed when I found out that Chamber of Secrets will be coming out soon pa. After all the crucial waiting for my confirmation message from Pottermore.com, that's all I will get? 

Anyone who challenges me to a duel should prepare

Thinking about it, I realized that the website's still a Beta version and currently undergoing development and improvement. This sometimes cause some pages to be unavailable. But. I must admit that I had fun exploring each moment and looking for stuff I could store in my trunk. 

Live Everyday As If It's Your Last

Apple announced its release of the new iPhone 4S yesterday and today, has made another announcement that has affected millions of people around the world. Former CEO and the brain behind Apple Inc, Steve Jobs, finally succumbed to pancreatic cancer, and joined our Creator on October 5.

All I can say is, Steve has contributed a lot to technology and without his ideas, there would be no Mac, iPod (which I love, by the way), iPhones, and iPad we have learned to love today. He has served as a great inspiration to many.

Anne Curtis, One Of The Hottest Celebrities In Philippine Television

The ones you see above are this month's Rogue Magazine cover. Anne Curtis surely is one of the hottest celebrity today. Any woman will surely be insecure seeing her... Like me. I keep on wishing I'd get a hot bod like her but unfortunately, it's hard for me to lose weight. This is especially true now that I'm stressed out with acads and work, that I can't even find the time to work out. But it would really be nice if I get as thin as her.
